Life Skills Camps

Spirit Song is known for providing experiential learning camp curricula tailored for youth ages 7 – 18. These camps focus on equipping age appropriate groups with the life skills they need to meet the challenges and opportunities they face each day.

Spirit Song’s signature program is its Equine-Assisted Bible Camp (EABC) for ages 6 – 11. This one-of-a-kind, Bible-based program has become one of our most successful venues for children and youth. Combining learning with leadership, our Equine-Assisted Bible Camp enrollment always fills fast and is known for the lasting impression it makes on attendees.

Building Blocks for Life I

(Ages 11- 14)

Spirit Song staff teams with pre-teens and young teens to equip them with the life skills necessary to successfully navigate their adolescent years. This 5-day summer camp covers topics often faced by today’s youth.

In this fun-filled program, we all learn together through valuable Equine Experiential Education using EAL activities. Each young participant has the opportunity to interact with the horses in a collaborative learning environment. This controlled, but dynamically interactive approach, helps campers discover positive ways of communicating and interacting with their peers.

The Building Blocks for Life I program can also be tailored for groups or individuals during the school year, meeting once per week, over a 12-week period.

Building Blocks for Life II

(Ages 15 – 18)

Spirit Song staff teams with high schoolers to equip them with the life skills required to successfully navigate high school and beyond. This 5-day summer camp covers topics often faced by today’s young adults. The goal of this program is to help participants gain the valuable skills and insights necessary to prepare for college and career.

Every camper will have the opportunity to experientially interact with our equine team in a collaborative learning environment. We use this controlled, but dynamically interactive approach so that each young adult participant may discover positive ways of communicating and interacting with others.

The Building Blocks for Life I program can also be tailored for groups or individuals during the school year, meeting once per week, over a 12-week period.

Beginner Camp, Just Out of the Block

(Ages 7 – 10)

Reserved for younger Spirit Song students, this Equine Experiential Education using Equine-Assisted Learning experience builds upon horsemanship skills acquired by students taking lessons during the year, culminating in this 3-day camp. Students gain higher levels of perception and learning through hands-on activities with their equine partners.
This groundlaying program promotes confidence and a true sense of self-worth in participants and sets a positive foundation that can be built upon over a lifetime.

Equine-Assisted Bible Camp (EABC)

(Grades 1 – 5)

Spirit Song partners with local churches to provide a Bible-based, Equine-Assisted Bible Camp (EABC) for children.  This 5-day, interactive program takes fun and learning to a whole new level and brings to life inspirational Bible stories and principles applicable to today’s younger generation.

Coupling our Bible-centered lessons with our unique, Equine Experiential Education using Equine-Assisted Learning activities provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for children to learn, acquire, and apply life changing Biblical truths.

Some of our own Spirit Song riding students and student alumni participate in leadership roles running concurrently with Equine-Assisted Vacation Bible School. They return to work with the Spirit Song Staff to facilitate the Equine Experiential Education using Equine-Assisted Learning activities for the EABC children. Prior years’ participants and parents continue to affirm the great value of this unique program and experience.
